I was facing the same issue and after trying out a no of solution I figured out that Ethernet cable plugged in during the process and I was having a time server connected my network and that was the reason I was getting that error but then later when unplugged the Ethernet cable and then started the system recovery then the process was complete, I am not very sure if it was your case but then you can at least check it out to be at the safer side.

I think that you might be lucky with the solution because I have tried out the same, I mean that even after unplugging the Ethernet cable I am still getting the same red error message, is there any other solution that I can try out?? Any further help for the same will be appreciated.

No, I agree to ZAHAR as he said, even I have followed his solution but then in a different way and it had solved the same issue in my case previously, this is what I had done:

First make one partition and make sure that there is not network cable connected to the computer.
When the Windows OS dvd, and language DVD installation will start then disconnect the keyboard and mouse as well and after that the installation will proceed without any issues.
I will also like to share that while choosing your country and account you can connect the mouse and then use the onscreen keyboard until the process completely end.

Just try it out and then let me know if it is helping.

If you are running windows 7 32 bit then you can try out the below driver, just check it out and see if it is helping:

Intel Chipset Support for Microsoft Windows

I think that it should work for you.

The incorrect operation and utilize of the Ghosting programs might lead to extremely serious aftereffect, as the data recently held on the hard disk with the intention of is to receive the image determine to often be totally overwritten. This is not always the case commencing from side to side, as sometimes the disk acquiring the image might be considerably larger than the innovative disk. Ghosting to a disk of this type determine to almost inescapably destroy the file system and root directory structure additional than a number of the data to facilitate was previously on the hard disk might still be recoverable.

The additional tribulations exist too, be obliged to as Ghosting in the wrong direction, incomprehensible program termination or system crash due to program indispositions or issues on one or additional hard disks due to bad sectors etc. The Recovery of data commencing from Ghosted drives is often difficult to analyze and time consuming. You frequently necessitate to perform a considerable amount of analysis on a hard disk previous to you even be familiar with if the data is recoverable.

Even though disk cloning programs are not fundamentally backup programs, they are sometimes utilized as be obliged to. A key characteristic of a backup program is to permit the retrieval of individual files preclude needing to restore the complete backup. Disk cloning programs moreover make available a Windows Explorer similar to a program to browse image files and extract individual files commencing from them, or permit an image file to be mounted as a read-merely filesystem within Windows Explorer.

i Think that if you are using only 1 or 2 or 3 gb of memory than using a 32 bit processor will be more effective. Also i think that it should run OK on 2 gb but running a 64 bit processor is not a good option i think if you want to stay on the windows 7 upgrading your memory to around 4 GB will be a better option and will solve your issue.

It seems like you are having problem with the memory resources of your system. I think there might be some processes which are running in the background so please open the taskmanager and then try to close all the programs which you did not want and check whether it helps but i am sure that this will help you.

your problem will be solved if you use WinTools.net 9.12.1 Ultimate Edition because it takes care of all your programs that are running in the background. It also increases the performance of yoursystem because it it discards all unwantred programs from the disk drives and dead references from the window registry. Else you can also use the tuneup utilility 2009 and run it to improve your systems performance. Since it also checks all the programs whether it is required, closes it if not required also defragments the hard drive recommend you about the system settings . It takes a complete care of your system.

So far I have not used OS/2. As far as I know the warranty would not void if you have installed unsupported OS.. the CPU which you have mentioned over here E5502 is the entry-level Xeon. In case the operating system is capable of multithreading then E5502 is supposed to be limiting factor. If OS is not utilizing the single core then this particular CPU would not be any limitation.

I wanted to tell you that eComstation 1.2R is having limited success as there is no lack of drivers specific for the Lenovo hardware and due to that it is not able to work with the full potential. I have not installed OS/2 since there is something kind of memory limitation which would cause the throw stop codes. Well I am believing that there would be limit of 64Mb.

I am aware of that I can run OS/2 app on eComstation if I can load on the work station of mine. I am aware of that version 2.0 is going to be released really soon and it would have better hardware compatibility. I found that Windows Vista is really bad and I should get Windows 7. But according to me Windows Vista and Windows 7 are having the same look and feel. So give me brief idea on that as well.

Windows 95, 98, 2000, and XP are running in same manner and having identical look and feel. The Core Structure of Windows 7 and Windows Vista kernel seems to same but performance of Windows 7 was quite better. I did not got any issue while using vista or server 2008. So select the OS which you know very well rather learning entirely new one.

I am currently using Windows 7 on my brand new laptop, and suddenly I went to personalize my desktop, but when I right-click and select "Personalize" it keeps telling me Error EXE. No such interface supported.

I do not know much about computers, and I am really hoping this isn't a virus seeing how I use this computer for school.

Can someone please help me and guide me through how to fix this?!

This can be a bug. Which version of Windows 7 are you using. Is it a pirated copy or purchased. Because pirated windows have lots of bugs. If it is not a pirated copy then the issue can lie with corrupt system files. To fix the same click on start > run > cmd type sfc /scannow. This command will scan for corrupt system file and replace it. It might ask you for Windows disc.

Are you having the full administrative priviledges with full rights? Can you right click on the exe file and take ownership of the file? The error that you are getting about admin is simply because you are not having full control rights over the pc, in which account are you logged in, is it a guest account or admin account?

If you have Original CD , so put into CD drive and restart your pc. It should boot from CD.if it not you need to change boot menu in the Bios to make it first boot drive. After doing this It will load some window files, It will show you process also side by side follow the instruction .At the end of this It will show you option for “Repair your Current Os”.this is the way you can sole this problem.

I’m giving you the best points to solve your system Recovery:

1>Insert the System repair Disk in the driver and restart your computer.
2>just after few second , the screen will display press any key to boot from cd after that Click on next button.
3>After that window will start to load the file then again you have restart your PC.
4>When System Recovery is finished searching for window Installation, click next.
5>After that choose the Recovery tool where you will get System Image Recovery.

MBRGuard BSOD, Healthy Disks HELP PLS

MBRGuard BSOD, Healthy Disks HELP PLS
Last night i was trying to find alternative virtualization software to use (currently Shadow Defender) yes Shadow Defender was disabled and wasn't active on any Drives before all this, recently installed Diskeeper and used autodefrag aswel as other features that would make my HDD responsive in the background. Finaly i found a Virtualization software called Drive Vaccine that i decided to try out, Installing was easy but at the final close it came up with MBR Failed message which later i looked online at Horizons FAQ and it mentioned that it's mostly due to MBR protection.

This is when i tried uninstalling Blue Ridge MBRGuard and it just wouldn't budge like it said something about needing the files that it used upon installation so because i coudln't uninstall it, i did what i thought was safe and disabled btguard.sys on startup but now everytime i try to boot windows it loads the GUI but 2 seconds in and BSOD strikes. I've used a variety of recovery tools such as Windows Recovery Console with this i tried FIXMBR and FIXBOOT nothing...Active@ shows all my partitions as Healthy and i can browse them just like i was using my original XP, tried a raw disk image backup but the stupid **** won't detect blank dvd, cds?!

Bart-PE - Haven't tried though i don't know exactly what it does or purpose would this be able to solve also being able to support using cd/dvd partition doctor disk through BartOS unto MyXP?

Attempted Fails:

FIXMBR
FIXBOOT
ACTIVE PARTITION - MBRFIX some sort of REPAIR MBR function
MBRWzd FIXMBR
Partition Doctor - This doesn't even create a RAMdrive or something so that it can run (is it possible to use a bartpe xp and use partition doctor or something like that) ? but i have used this tool before in the past when something simlar happened and it worked, that's why i must try it out this round somehow someway

Is their anything i can do to get into the registry or cause btguard.sys to load up again on startup since this is probally the root cause, i think it's this because it knows where all the MBR information is of the drives right? since it changes the mbr tables? unknowingly sillily i stopped MBRguard Driver from startup so it's not able to boot windows properly i assume. Never again i'm using MBRGuard if this is the ****, might try nprotect maybe not haha, i really hope anyone can help me out here in anyway possible, thanks.

kernel.log error running 24/7 on iMac

kernel.log error running 24/7 on iMac
I have bought a new iMac for my birthday. The weird thing was from the first day I am started seeing the kernal.log error running 24/7. I asked about this to my friend who also using the same system. He told me that he has no idea about this error and he didn’t see in his iMac. So I am worried now. I don’t know whether it is a hardware failure or software. Can anyone explain me how?

Re: kernel.log error running 24/7 on iMac
In Mac OS X v10.5 and later, if you see any kernel.log error, then there is a kernel panic executed on your system. When panic happens, the information is added to a log file and the file is stored in /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports (Mac OS X v10.6), or /Library/Logs/PanicReporter (Mac OS X v10.5).

The log includes date and time indicating about when the kernel panic was logged.

Re: kernel.log error running 24/7 on iMac
First of all you need to figure when and what moment you are getting this kernel panic or kernel.log error. Whether it is when installing OS or third party apps or connection to internet or installing new hardware or any other. If you can able to find the steps to reproduce a kernel panic, then make a note of it so that you can easily find out what is causing this. Also try in Safe mode.

Re: kernel.log error running 24/7 on iMac
The system log and kernel logs are very helpful in MAC. Because if any problems occur or your system is suffering from this, then these logs will help you to troubleshoot easily even if it is a difficult problem. But in some situation it may not be possible to see the kernel.log in Console, due to large logs. So in this situation use the following command:

Code:

tail -f /var/log/kernel.log

The tail -f command will read and print the specified file on the screen

Re: kernel.log error running 24/7 on iMac
Generally the causes of Kernel panics are as follows:

Defective otherwise incompatible RAM .
Some Incompatible kernel extensions which might be obsolete or corrupted. This usually happened with any third-party kernel extension.
Due to faulty drivers or something related like third party hardware.
HDD corruption, bad sectors, and other ills.

How to move/copy OS X Lion from one physical drive to another

How to move/copy OS X Lion from one physical drive to another
Some says that in order to get the LION on you have first install the Snow leopard and then download the LION or update it directly. But some sources say that you can copy the downloaded Lion and install it directly on other drive. Does anyone know whether I need to re-install to move it to another drive?

I am really not sure about this and never tried before these. So I don’t have accurate knowledge about this. But there are some applications like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper which will help you to make task much easier. This app will help you to copy the entire bootable Lion Installation, so that you can later move it from one drive to another.

Re: How to move/copy OS X Lion from one physical drive to another
As far as I know that just making a copy of OS installation files and move it, does not make the drive bootable. There several hidden files and "blessing" that are needed in order to make the drive bootable. But for sure some programs similar to Carbon Copy Cloner and SuperDuper! Will do this easily. But these only help you to cut down files so that OS can fit into SSD.

Re: How to move/copy OS X Lion from one physical drive to another
You are talking about another physical drive. So I hope that it is a USB flash drive. In order to move Lion to this flash drive, just make a right click on Mac OS X Lion (in app folder) and choose “Show Package Contents.” In that folder go to“SharedSupport.” Right click on it and “Copy ‘InstallESD.dmg’’. Now copy and paste that item on Desktop. Again open App Folder> “Utilities” > “Disk Utility.” Drag “ESDInstall.dmg” file to left column folder. Click that file and “Restore” tab. Connect the flash drive. After doing this, you will get to know about rest of steps.

My volume control slider moves down by itself and lastly goes off in Windows 7
I have installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on my system. And after that I have faced the problem of Volume Slider that it moves automatically. To solve this issue I have tried after rolling back all the volume drivers, and I have installed latest versions. Stopping the windows, windows update, everything that I have tried failed to solve the problem, after searching on the sites I found that there are many people having the same issue? So please if you have solution then send it to me……please help

I will suggest you to follow the following simple method to solve the issue. Before going for the steps you should ensure that Windows Audio application is set to automatic. And then follow the steps.

Select the start button and click on the search option.
Enter the services.msc in the search box.
And then look for the services.
The move your cursor to the service and Right click on it.
Start the services if it is stopped.
And in order to run the service right click and choose Properties
Enter Select Automatic in Start-up.

After that restart your system and see the result. Hope this will resolve your issue.

I will suggest you to try to solve the issues by running the System File Checker. Start the SFC and scan on the whole computer to solve the system file errors on the system. And to start the SFC scan, you have to open the prominent Command Prompt and follow the following steps:
Quote:
Select the Start button > Select All Programs > and then select the Accessories and right-click on CMD> and then select to run as Administrator > Type password if asked or make allow and continue > after that in the CMD enter sfc or scannow and hit the enter button.
After that restart your system and see whether the problem is still there or resolved. And after that reply the result. Good luck

Re: My volume control slider moves down by itself and lastly goes off in Windows 7
As you have said that your volume control slide bar is automatically increasing the volume. This situation may arise due to the effect of virus or malware. So I will suggest you to install a latest antivirus with license and update it with the latest update available on its website and then scan your whole computer and after completing if you found the virus take appropriate action to remove and repair that virus and file respectively. Or you have a choice to run the online scanner find the malware.

ThumbsUp Re: My volume control slider moves down by itself and lastly goes off in Windows 7
I had this same problem
AFTER I reset Internet Explorer 7 to Factory Defaults
&
AFTER I removed and then reinstalled Adobe Flash Player.

What caused it? Dunno. BUT ...

Here's what fixed it:
I'm using a Logitech Wireless USB headset/mic combo. The transceiver was plugged into the USB port the whole time I was resetting/reinstalling stuff.

After looking into all the "easy" fixes mentioned elsewhere on the Internet and discovering that none of them solved my problem, I went back to Basic Troubleshooting 101:
I unplugged the USB transceiver.
That worked 100%.
WHY?
Dunno.
Also, All was good when I plugged the USB Headset/Mic back in.
Go figure.

BTW ... since my PC apparently became "confused" by my actions, it also was affecting my PC's speakers identically: the volume control would automatcially slide down to ZERO. (Win XP Pro)

So, maybe someone more tech-savvy than me can explain the WHY.

Re: How to use floppy disc on Mac OS X
You have installed Mac OS X 10. 6 and the question is whether or not Mac OS and later versions require a device driver Thus to use the USB Floppy Disk Drive. I heard that some version of Mac OS are meant or whether the same is true for OS X. Find whether there a compatible driver needed for your Mac OS X in order to run floppy drive.

Do you have a new volume, such as "No Name" in the Finder window?

You have a connected drive and actually inserted a floppy disk?

You might need to actually mount it, or at least indicate that the drive must be initialized. In 10.6 you may need drivers for the USB drive.

Do I need Audio Interface for Live Recording on Mac OS X

Do I need Audio Interface for Live Recording on Mac OS X
Currently I am using the Yamahas P155 digital piano. I would like to record actual piano sounds in real audio. I am using the Macbook 5.1 OS X Snow leopard and it has a GarageBand. Is there any way I can record the real audio in to GarageBand? Do I need to use any audio interfaces between 2 for recordings?

The problem is there is 1/4 inch jack audio input on the Macbook. I have only a mini jack.

I don’t think that you will need any Audio interface. Only thing you will need is to get an adapter in order to connect the piano to the Macbook. But the problem is, you will not get the good sound quality. To get a good sound you will need a USB or firewire audio interface. I don’t about the mini audio in Macbook. If there are 2 cables coming out from the pino, then you will need a good adapter or a compatible cable to connect to the mini jack.

However you can get inexpensive USB interfaces, which will help you to connect properly.

In order to get the best sound from the piano, you will surely need an Audio interface with some nice Mics. If you think that it is expensive, you can get the same quality sound with the cable like this 2x 1/4" jack to stereo mini jack (1/8") adapter. I hope that your P155 has two mono 1/4" outputs for left and right.

As far as I know that audio interfaces has different convertors for different components for variety of sound. The problem is 3 different audio interfaces with 2 outputs cannot be possible and you cannot use for 5.1 surround system. The output will not be original. Make sure that while using the Audio interface do not use inputs and outputs across which will need matched” outputs for example surround mixing, stereo pairs and surround recording

You may need an Audio interface but along with that, you will need a WireTap application which is capable to record any audio playing on the Mac. The software will then save it as file. You can also record Internet radio, favorite DVD movie, record the audio from a game. This application has a simple tape recorder-like interface. There is a record button which will able to record any audio currently playing.

How to Hardcode Subtitles to video file using Mac OS X

How to Hardcode Subtitles to video file using Mac OS X
Does anyone know how to hardcode subtitles from SRT file to one video file. I have found this feature in handbrake and vlan but will not able to find the same functionality in toast or final cut. Re: How to Hardcode Subtitles to video file using Mac OS X
I heard that FFmpeg was able do the same. So I think that now the iFFmpeg can also do the same. But before that, you should keep in one thing. You must create AVI file or convert any movie or video file to AVI format in order to make the hardcoded subtitles. After that you can again convert to DVD format. During the conversion, you may notice slight loss in quality but it won’t affect much.

I have got one free toll and that is XviD4PSP. This tool is capable to hardcode subtitles in any video. Moreover it can also convert any video file to iPhone, iPod, PSP, and other device format. You can simply hardcode the subtitle even if you don’t want to convert the video to another format. The Encode button will do the rest of the task for you. Make sure to set proper formats, encoding options and additional settings before clicking the “Encode” button.

Re: How to Hardcode Subtitles to video file using Mac OS X
I have got one Japanese version DivX AVI file along with the SRT file for the subtitles. You can view the video with subtitles in QuickTime (but with Perian add-on). But one thing you have to make sure that both AVI and SRT file should have the same name and should reside the in the same folder. At that time only, you can view the subtitles. In order to make it as a self-contained movie, you have to hardcode subtitles or AVI file should be hardcoded.

Re: How to Hardcode Subtitles to video file using Mac OS X
While burning AVI movie to DVD, you might have noticed that the software always burns the AVI and subtitle file separately. But before the burn process, you are forced to encode AVI movie after that mix up with the subtitles over it.

This takes plenty of time in order burn a single DVD with subtitles. To save your time, it is always better to go with Perian plug-in for QuickTime. Since you are using the Mac, the QuickTime is readily available there. You just have to install Perian plug-in. While playing any .avi file, make sure to put the subtitle file with same in same folder. That it.

Re: How to Hardcode Subtitles to video file using Mac OS X
For all of your issue, there is a professional software called TEncoder which you can try for routine video encoding needs.

This is an open source video encoder with the support of multi-thread technology helps you to convert multiple videos fast and seamlessly. It supports video conversion between 9 different formats, including, Xvid, FLV, H264, WMV, MP4, MPEG 2, etc.

By the help of FFMpeg and Mencoder codecs, it will convert videos by abandoning major confliction between the video formats. Using this software you can pack subtitles into single video file.

I can tell you that performance of Windows 7 is the best. Also add that if we compare the performance of Windows XP with Windows 7, Windows 7 has better performance, it was expected that a current operating system use of resources made available to the new equipment powerful, as it did not windows vista that only the waste. High speed in all aspects, copy files, LAN, Internet, and more, with an acknowledgment of all devices.

Why I prefer Windows 7
• Searches for files on hard disk faster and improved
• The ability to, bought the 'hardware needed, use the screen to navigate with your fingers.
• New graphics really catchy.
• Windows Movie Maker and other functions significantly improved.
• Ability to exploit the full potential of the processors 64-bit but also works with 32 bits.
• Ability to record TV programs directly on your PC.

Windows 7 is best but it require good configuration computer.
• Processor 32-bit or 64-bit 1 GHz or more powerful
• 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM
• 16 GB of available hard disk space, of course, our hard drives have average size greater than 120-160 GB, but a 16-20 GB for the operating system are really a lot!
• To see the most of our movies and to play, DirectX 10 and the latest drivers for our graphics cards that should be of at least 256 GB of memory.

Windows 7 is the most optimized in terms of resources. And 'the one with better graphics, the most customizable, which is good, and if you want you can go back to XP even with the graphics to speed up the PC. It’s also more secure, windows 7 it definitely a secure than that of Windows XP.

Re: Windows 7 is the Best Operating system
I would also say that Windows 7 is the best because of these points.
• the speed: There are 30 seconds it takes to load Windows 7
• The compatibility: some data on Windows 7 supports up to 80,000 devices compatible connectivity which means you have a 90% chance of finding a device that can connect to it,
• Security: Windows 7 can run applications that are only allowed by the System Administrator, that allows greater control for example in a corporate environment,
• Energy saving: Windows 7 reduces power consumption up to 30%
• Improved GUI Windows 7: the taskbar is bigger and colorful
• Multi-screen
• Low memory consumption

So far is the most reliable operating system from Microsoft, I initially had my doubts with this operating system, sometimes one is unwilling to change, especially after you have Windows XP for over 7 years and running smoothly, I decided to change my the new windows operating system and I do not regret it in the first place is much faster than Windows XP, uses less resources than Windows XP.

As far as I know if you are not having or if you are not willing to pay for a developer account then you will probably have to wait for public release of 10.8. Developers, I don’t think that there any developer will provide you with the beta version until you are a part of their company as it will be prohibiting their company rules, I think that the only option of getting OS x Mountain Lion for now is paying for a developer account. Hope that helps.

See if you want a developer account then you can get it by paying $99 and you will get all the latest software with it as well but then if you go for a free account then you won’t be getting the latest software with the deal, I have some people using the free account but then they have mentioned that if there is any bug then you are not allowed to file any bug directly and if you are willing to get OS x Mountain Lion then you will have to pay for the same and you won’t be getting it for free, just because if you are having a free account.

I will like to inform you all that free developer accounts are not available anymore but then there are former free ones which does not provide you any pre-release software as such and if you are willing to get the seed software then you will have to pay for the same as the above user has specified that it is just a free software that you get but then not free software.
