LG KC550 Mobile Phone

LG introduces its cheapest 5 megapixel camera phone to date, the KC550. The LG KC550 offers all the camera functionality of a top-end 5 megapixel camera phone without the top-tier price tag.

This is LG KC550, the first budget 5-megapixel camera phone from a leading manufacturer. It is a mid-level slider and is equipped with autofocus lens, which places it next to the pretentious camera phones. The manufacturer claims that the model has a fast processor for faster picture viewing and reproduction of videos in DVD resolution (720x480 pixels). In addition, the LG has a built-in TV-out and an accelerometer with which to play the preloaded games

Design

Our first impression of LG's KC550 was that it looked pretty cool - a sleek black slider with a big screen. What's not to like? The design resembles the one of the modern digital cameras and is more convenient for taking pictures than attractive. The materials used to make the phone create a nice feeling of a quality product. Protected by a solid metal sliding cover, the camera is activated when you slide this cover open. To take a picture, you hold the KC550 sideways, as you would a camera, and click a dedicated shutter button -- very straightforward. The keys are flat, well spaced out but a little spongy, although easy to use with no strange anomalies. The rest of the buttons around the phone are where you would expect to see them - volume, camera shutter button, etc, as well as a slot for the microSD and headphones/charger. There is no dedicated 3.5mm socket for music fans.
