Decidedly PSP seems to have become the mobile home for the RPG genre. For proof, the games of the machine scratched Sony now hosts Star Ocean: The First Departure, a remake of the first part of the series released in 1996 for Super Famicom. Saga known for the dynamism of its fighting and the visual quality of each of its iterations, Star Ocean came to prominence with Till The End Of Time, the third series on PlayStation 2. The opportunity for many RPG enthusiasts discover the foundations of this great name for the genre.

In the depths of the universe, a beautifully appointed small planet is experiencing roak peaceful day. Until the day when a terrible virus that affects its residents, one by one, eventually turns into stone statues. Faced with this emergency, a trio of young militiamen led by the intrepid Roddick decided to investigate the origins of the virus. They will be assisted in their quest by Ilia and Ronyx, member of the crew of a ship of the Terran Federation landed on the planet to help its population. Sprites and environments have been completely reworked
Star Ocean: The First Departure therefore obviously the general frame of the original episode. Only staging received particular care since illustrating key cinematic history have been made by Production IG whose reputation is well known (Ghost in the Shell, Jin-Roh, Blood: The Last Vampire or animated sequences of Kill Bill). The result is a rare quality portable console. Character-colored and sleek design, animation careful and well-paced cutting force admiration. If they are too rare, these animated sequences in any case give a new relief to the history of this first series.
