Apple confirmed the dates for the WWDC

Apple has set the dates for WWDC, or Worldwide Developers Conference,
an event reserved for the developers of the Mac universe, which will
be held from 8 to 12 June in San Francisco. The firm will send nearly
a thousand of its own engineers on site, and we expect about five
miles from developers all over the United States to participate in
various technical sessions offered.

On the other side of the Atlantic, it is of course watch the launch of
version 3.0 firmware for the iPhone, recently announced by Apple, it
should logically be launched on this occasion. It is also recalled
that at the WWDC 2008 that the Cupertino company had unveiled the
iPhone 3G. This will happen the same this year with a potential iPhone
3?

It is too early to tell, but we know that however many sessions will
be devoted to Snow Leopard, the future major version of the operating
system from Apple. It is also possible that the opening of the WWDC
sign the return of Steve Jobs at the helm of the firm, since the
latter had indicated that it would resume its activities around the
month of June.

If you'll recall, last year's WWDC was where a little gadget called
the iPhone 3G made its appearance, and we'd say chances are good we'll
see new hardware this year as well, especially since there'd be no
bigger way for Steve Jobs to make his planned June return to the
company. Also on the list of expected attendees? Snow Leopard,
possible with a revised interface. It should be a big one,you know
we'll be digging for all the info we can get in the leadup, so keep it
locked.
