63 characters of domain name
I have a simple query about the domain names, just for my knowledge. I have heard that the longest domain names can have maximum of 63 characters. But do the http:// and .com is also counted in those 63 numbers ?

Re: 63 characters of domain name
Nope, they do not. Either www or http:// never gets counted in those 63 characters. The 63 characters are excluding the .com, .org.uk, etc. The introduction of extended 63 character domain names will be good news to corporations who always wanted to register and secure their complete company name. You can also register th the worlds longest domain names, but remember adding long subdomains, dashes, www and .co.uk cannot make it longer.

Re: 63 characters of domain name
Choosing a great domain name can tell the world who you really are and what you 're really interested in. It can for your friends and family are also easy to contact you via email or your website.I think one of the biggest limitations of the 63 character domain names is that some versions of netscape can only handle 59 characters.
