EMAIL 3.5: Impossible to raise Yahoo emails
Hello
For more than six months now, I have not managed any more to recover my emails (yahoo) under APPLE email. In “email activity” it indicates to me well that emails are in the course of reception (speed of reception 0ko/sec) but I do not see unfortunately appearing these various emails.

I checked all the parameters, APPLE email is able to connect myself to the email, when I click on “obtaining the data of the account” I see appearing the various emails in a window in which I can only remove the messages of the server.
somebody can help me please?

On is the level of Webmail Yahoo, there can be an option to activate to not allow the transfer of the emails towards a third application?

after several tests and having consulted tens of msg on Internet, on behalf of the users of Mac, I come to the conclusion that:
1 - I am not the only one to have Pb with Mail
2 - Mac is addressed more and more to “informed”
3 - legendary “the user-friendliness of Mac is… a legend…
4 - the “engineers” and other “developers” are mainly autists, not foutus to give simple and EFFECTIVE explanations: I use Yahoo at the beginning, and I realize that it would be necessary to leave Polytechnic (and still) to be able to send a message starting from Mail by using my account yahoo (I still did not succeed to date)
5 - those which write councils and other FAQ on Yahoo or the site of Apple EVER tried to put their own councils into practice, if not they would realize that their councils ….do not go.

6-.i have anything of it to wax ports this or that, smtp or thing : I WANT A TRICK WHICH GOES! and force is to note that I am not the only one with being in this case!

CONCLUSION: self saying specialists in Apple or Yahoo, are not qualified, because if it were the case, there would not be as many users.

The problem is not Mac or PC in your case. If you do not want to hear of smtp and other, you will not have emails in Mail!!!

For my part, that functions perfectly into POP only (No IMAP) and I frankly did not leave !! I do not understand the reason of your anger towards your Mac…

Click on the arrows beside the name of the Outgoing Server in Mail Preferences/Account/Account Information, and choose Edit Server List. Is there more than one SMTP listing? Assuming only one, click on the Advanced Tab and choose Use Custom Port -- enter Port 465, click SSL, and then enter your Username and Password as you have done for the Incoming. Check to the box to Use this Server only.

I would suggest clearing all SMTP servers and starting from scratch if you have problems. It is also important, if you are sending from several accounts, to use the specific account name (xyz@techarena.net) as your user name and the password associated with that particular account (subaccount).
