First impression on Gotham City Impostors Beta
I love this game very much. Its good to see a wacky, laid back and fun game like GCI. I've spent 4 hours straight yesterday playing the game and I love every minute of it. I don't have many gripes about the gameplay but I would like to see a few things added like a mute button in pre-game matchups and a jokerz version of Initiation and more clothing options for Batz and Jokerz although I'm guessing the stuff that we see in the beta is only a sample. Anyways I'm buying this first thing it comes out. What you think guys do you this is this best game.

Re: First impression on Gotham City Impostors Beta
I'm a huge gaming fan in general and my current go-to game is BF3, but what I rally love about Gotham City Imposters is the little ways of getting around - the hook-line thing, roller blades, using a cape, trampolines. It's just something you don't see every day and I'll be more than happy to pay 1200MS points on release. I am enjoying the beta quite a bit and this has been the only thing that has bothered me. Most people I have played against have just switched and stuck with the rocket launcher. I have seen the timer issues and teams not being balanced as well but I just chalk those up to the beta and don't sweat those.

Re: First impression on Gotham City Impostors Beta
This is definitely a day 1 buy for me. The gameplay is just great. I have minor gripes about the leveling, but that's mostly for in-beta stuff, and if it's 1000 levels in the full game like I heard, then it won't be as much of a problem. My biggest complaint is the same as other people: Matchmaking It's difficult just to find me a game oftentimes, as well as when I finally do find a game it takes some time to start up. Also, I've been having the game take a while just to register my stats when I start Matchmaking. I've gone for at least two minutes without even seeing my own ID in the player list, unable to look at stats, options, anything. And a more minor gripe is with the auto-balancing, as it is just unfair for everyone involved if a couple sore losers rage quit and then other people have to suffer for it.

Re: First impression on Gotham City Impostors Beta
As long as this isn't too expensive I will definitely buy on the basis of the few hours mainly because I'm not sure of its longevity. I don't mean in terms of levels but in terms of having enough to keep players engaged over time because it is really just CoD dressed up as a batman/joker impostor. I really enjoyed it aside from spending as much time waiting to get into games as I did actually playing. That's my only complaint and hopefully it's just a beta thing resulting in a lower player base at the moment. The humor is great, the movement and shooting mechanics are nice and slick, and the thing that I was worried about - game imbalance due to some of the wacky "perks" - didn't happen.

I've only got to play a few games but I'm loving it so far. Biggest issue for me is not being able to tell who has a mic and is talking, or having an option to mute them in game. I've had a few mics that have just been going off the wall with static and blowing my ear drum out. I love the gameplay though. It reminds me of Team Fortress 2 in a way. I'm looking forward to the full release and I'm going to continue to play for a bit before i go to sleep.

I am very impressed with the beta so far. Whatever lag it has is very minimal, the gameplay modes are very unique and it is a riot to play. I just sure wish the Heavy Set guy can take more than a couple SMG bullets before dying.

Re: First impression on Gotham City Impostors Beta
So far I really like the game and want to get it, the matchmaking is slow (I know not the first to say it) which I hope is just because of it being a beta and will not be an issue of not enough people playing it. I have had lag issues especially today while dropping dead after going around a corner away from the gunfire at least 5 seconds after being hit. I've had the game freeze on me twice once after a match once going into a match, I had to press the power button on my Xbox both times. Curious about how the teams are balanced is it done by level, player skill, or some other way? I have not yet tried to use the party feature but I am hoping that it keeps you together. A mute button along with a way to see who is talking would be nice I find myself starting a party just so I don't have to hear the annoying people.

Great game no doubt. some issues I've ran into matchmaking sometimes is slow and even freezes my Xbox or gets stuck on loading screen. other times I've had freeze the Xbox was when i leveled up right at the end of the match and then the match ends. balancing some of the guns take a lot to kill someone then having your face blown off by one or two hits by the other person is kinda annoying. Spawning I have to admit is better than what black ops had but you can so easily spawn camp in crime alley in both modes. no mute button. I'll post more as i find some more oh and please keep the beta going for longer.

The team balancing is terrible, constantly switches you even when teams are fine mid game, sometimes it will consistently put you in games when it's 6v2 when it should be 4v4. You also have the painfully long loading times, consistent disconnection from servers, game freezes, getting booted back to dashboard and players constantly dropping out right when the game starts. It's really awful, the worst matchmaking bugs I've seen in any game.

This game will not do well if they don't fix the bugs and game breaking frame rate issues. If I spend an hour searching for games and only 10 minutes playing, you know there's a problem. The gun I am using is called gatekeeper that little thing can tear up the competition. I'd love it if they did do something about us keeping our gear/xp/kd ratio. all of it. at least my stats on the Dawn Patrol rifle. Watching the video trailers and others via you tube play I thought this was pretty interesting. I got a beta code and damn this plays and feels better than the videos showed. Keep up the good work and I will see you guys either on the beta or on Jan 10th.
