How does air to air refueling works in Naval War Arctic Circle
Hello friends, just wanted to know how does the air to air refueling works, so does anyone knowing anything about it then please do tell me. What I have still now that it appear to be hit or missed by me. Many times I have sent my fighters planes to tankers just by right clicking on the tanker and couple of time they will be going directly to tanker and will remain in formation in reference to tanker for refueling I do assume and couple of time they just go to tanker and do nothing, which is making think that refueling works or not? I would also like to know that is there anything which is required to observe such that any limitation like speed and distance so that air to air refueling will happen? Please help me out with this. Thank you.

I have also noticed same thing when I am having a flight of multiple fighters then have to select and right click on to tanker then relatively often only the flight is been lead moves to take some of fuel. When the lead is been done then flight goes back to what orders which was given to them earlier and also it does not refuel the wingmen. If I have to select fighter manually then order them to refuel then it is working, so it will be not working automatically, you need to give them orders to do it.

Let me tell you that in-air refueling is fully automatic, such that if a plane is able to refueled in air, such that most of them but not the UAVs then it is reaching to bingo fuel. When it reaches over there then it first check that it has any primary weapons left or not, if it not then it will be returning to base. If it is having then it will be searching for tanker plane which will be in the range and also will be checking its queue and fuel availability. If it is able to receive a full tank in that then it will go to fuel tanker and get it refuel and once it is been done then it will going back to previous orders. If there were no orders then it will be going back to base. You will be getting notification when any of your aircraft is returning to base or it is goes to refuel in air even if it is trying to refuel but the available tanker did not have sufficient fuel for it. in latter case it is been suggested that to check if it is a exceptional case where plane needing refueling was very large, or very far away or it is doubtful the tanker will be useful again or not. If it not useful then you can return to that tanker to base for refueling and it is been possible for you swap it with a new one. Let me tell you that tanker can only refuel one plane at a particular time, other than the tanking time is idealistically short anyway and also you are able to order a plane manually to go to the refueling tanker just by right clinking on tanker, which is same thing above user have done it.

I would like to share that I have recently done refuel airplane which was hanging around my fighters and it has not done refuel with help of refuel airplane. I have also tried to fly around with jets for sometime but in end they returned to one of airfields. I think that it can be option to instruct fighters to land it on carrier instead in place of going back to home. I have also tried that then also it did not work for me.

I would like to know that does AI are capable to handle more than one tanker which are of same group? Reason of asking it is that I am getting plenty of "cannot fuel, not enough fuel to air-refuel" messages. I was thinking that if I launch two tanker groups which might be helpful for me or use separate tankers in place of them? What I should do for it, then please do tell me about it. Thank you.

I’m getting the "cannot fuel, not enough fuel...” message a lot despite of my (in the region) single tanker is at around 20-30% on the fuel meter.
