IE8 problem in opening certain links

IE8 problem in opening certain links
Hello,

I have a trouble in Windows 7 64 bit with IE8.

For example on the Orange website to open bills, they must click on the invoice and normally opens a pdf. But in my case nothing opens , and I have a new iexplore process but no new window. And it happens on many sites where IE8 fails to open links (tested with Firefox no problem).

Is there a way to make IE8 work fine..

I have tried Regserv32 ...

Any other ideas?

To fix this issue, perform the following steps:

Click on Start -> Run, and start command prompt by typing cmd in it
In command prompt, type regsvr32 actxprxy.dll and press enter.
Now you will receive the following message: DllRegisterServer in actxprxy.dll succeeded. Click Ok
Restart your pc.

Confirm the following:

Open up IE8 and Click on Tools menu then Internet Options
Click the Settings button in the Tabs section then look for "Open links from other programs in:"
Click the radio button marked "A new tab in the current window"

Run all of the following commands in a command prompt one by one:

regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll

regsvr32 oleaut32.dll

this should resolve your issue.

First, make sure that tabbed browsing is enabled. In IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Tabs Settings button and make sure that 'Enable tabbed browsing' is selected. Now disable all of your add-ons, this problem is commonly caused by an incompatible add-ons. After disabling add-ons restart your browser once.
