No sound in firefox

No sound in firefox
So, I'm not getting any sound to play out of firefox. here's the weird thing, I can see in the volume mixer that there is sound coming out of firefox (because of the dancing green level meter) and the volume for firefox is turned all the way up and not muted, but I still don't hear anything from it. Other programs are working fine though. I've tried reinstalling firefox, and reinstalling several different versions of flash player, but no luck so far.

Oh, and I'm using windows 7 32 bit release candidate.

It dosen't matter which OS we are using once the sound comes in any other player,
You said Firefox is not playing any sound, May be you might have installed a Add-on, and you need to configure it properly by going to Tools->Add-ons->extensions

I've gone through all my plugins, disabling and checking each one, but none of them are working. My guess is that firefox is sending to some other output of my computer or to nothing, but I have no idea how to route it back to the main out.

Make sure your audio drivers working on windows 7 also also get latest version of Firefox also disable all plugin and addon for Firefox and then try

Do you have more then one sound device? That may be confusing Firefox, but that should not happens, i think there's some other problem, a software problem... Try to install some older version of firefox and see if it helps...
