Steam Version Legend of Grimrock Not Working
Hello I have downloaded standalone version of Legend of Grimrock and I have played without any issue although after installing steam version on my computer I found I am not able to access IN game and I am not able to play and there constant glitch. While playing this game I have also found I am not getting any achievement and I am not getting any pop-ups or signal noises. I am able to play through the game with achievements but without stem version. I have tried the lots of solution to solve this issue but nothing helped me to solve mine issue. I have tried solution like deleting the original files, un-installed and re-installed the steam version although getting the same issue. So anyone help me to solve this issue.

First of all make sure you have enabled the Steam Community in-game overlay on your steam setting, If you have not enable the Steam Community in-game overlay then you will face this issue, to make sure this go through the below steps:
Open steam and after that make click on the settings. Now on the settings windows go to the In-game tab and under that make check mark next to Enable Steam Community In-Game, now once you done and after that save all settings and restart the steam. This will help you to solve your issue although if this doesn’t solve your issue then you might have disabled this option for Legend of Grimrock game and you should enable through game properties. Open the stem account and after that make right click on the game in Library and then select properties. Now on the properties go to the General tab, check the box next to Enable Steam Community In-Game that’s it, save the all the settings and restart the game. This will help you to solve your issue.

Even I have faced the same issue and I have gone through the below steps to solve this issue and this has been helped me to solve mine issue:
first close the Steam completely on your system and then go to the task manger and make sure there’s any instances of GameOverlayUI and Steam still running, if you find any process just close them by right clicking the process. Once you close the all process just restart the stem and then launch the game. Along with this I would also suggest you to remove the ClientRegistry.blob file from stem folder. Go to the steam folder and after that remove the all ClientRegistry.blob files. I also suggest you to make sure you’re not running any DirectX/Full screen apps in the background, like video players or another game, because this will affect contestant glitch, other issue.

There are lots of reasons with the In-Game Overlay not working like Applications that May Interfere with the In-Game Overlay. There are some applications and background process will affect the stem Overlay, so you need to disable the application which affects steam Overlay for e.g. application like Firewall and Antivirus need to be disabled while playing steam in game and by disabling this Steam will allow the overlay to work properly. So if you’re running any background application while using steam and then I would like to suggest you to disable the background application through MSCONFIG i.e. System Configuration utility. To run System Configuration utility you need to go through the below steps: first make click on the start icon and after that select the run. Now on the run type: MSCONFIG and after that make click on the ok button. Now you will get the System Configuration utility windows and under that go to the general tab and then disable the all unwanted process and after that go to the start up tab and under that make check mark on the selective startup. Now here choose the application you want to start while starting computer.
