"D3DError CreateDevice failed: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL" error in Legend of Grimrock
Hello I have installed the Legend of Grimrock stand alone but while running this stand alone I get the error message saying that:” D3DError CreateDevice failed: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL” and I am not play this game. I am using Acer Aspire 7540 laptop with windows 7 64Bit, AMD Athalon II Dual COre M300 2.00 GHz, 4 GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Graphics Adapter. Even I have tried to reinstall the game not helped… i found "D3DError CreateDevice failed: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL" error is related DirectX and so therfore i have installed the latest version of DirectX 11 but getting the same issue. can anyone suggest me how to solve this error message. thanks in advance...

Hello first of all I would like to suggest you to install latest drivers for your graphics card and along with the of DirectX 9. Even I have got the same issue and I have installed the latest version of graphics card and of DirectX on mine system. Along with this I would like to suggest you to set DPI scaling to default 100%, because I have seen lots of user playing game with DPI scaling to 148%, so if you’re playing DPI scaling 148% or something else then just keep DPI scaling to default 100%. Try to do this and after that let me know. I am playing this game with DPI scaling to default 100% and custom resolution of 1360x768 via HDMI because native resolution of my LCD tv which Windows 7 doesn't seem to recognize correctly. So go through this and then let me know…
