Firefox starts automatically
Hi,
Firefox 3 automatically restarts when you log in. It's not in my login items. I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.10. The only change I made was basically updated my drive - which means that cloned my old hard drive to a larger one. recently I have installed ruby?? Anyone else experiencing this?

Go to setting and check, System - Preferences - Startup Applications and 'uncheck' Firefox. Then restart the pc and check whether the same thing happens.

Because they say there is an error message with Ruby, means in the browser? Maybe there's something starting ruby server in the background k and want to load a page that will display their production, so Firefox is opening. Try changing your default browser to Safari or IE and see if it begins to open in Safari login.

Re: Firefox starts automatically
Try the following, the next time you are about to shut down the computer, close all applications, you can also run "kill all firefox" or any Firefox process is running. Once everything is closed, go to System Preferences, Startup Applications, Settings and select "Automatically remember ..." and after the session. That could replace the "saved state" information and get rid of the entry of Firefox. Once you log in again, go back and deselect that environment.
