How can I assign Reliever to come in before inning is getting started in MLB 2K12?

How can I assign Reliever to come in before inning is getting started in MLB 2K12?
I am pitching 8 innings with the help of my starter. I wanted that closer should come in before 9th as I level up by one. Hence I wanted to ask a particular query in the game before the 9th inning is getting started? There should be something which would make my Closer on the mound at the beginning of the inning. I don’t wanted to pause my game and sub in my closer. Thanks a lot in advance.

There is no another way to get the requirement of yours. however if I came across any other particular way then I will surely tell you about the same.

The above mentioned thing is not making any mess with the stats rather than it is making the game quite goofy. If you are able to sub in the pitchers when you team supposed to batting then I think it would be the simplest solution which I can suggest over here. however if it is happening because of the game issue then I am sure that developer will definitely do something on the same.

Well in this particular you have to press Start by using correct toggle button when menu screen would pop up. You have to select substitution then bullpen. Once you have done you have to select pitcher then you should select warm-up. Once your computer will be ready it will notify you. Let me know whether above mentioned thing is working or not.

After going through the problem of yours I wanted to tell you that you will not be able to sub pitchers when you are supposed to hitting in the game. you will have that particular option greyed out. That means that you will need to wait till you are on mound in order to perform sub. If you are getting the issue then it already mentioned that there could be bug issue with the game. you will need to contact the developer of the game will work on the same and release the patch that you have to download and install the same.
