Problem with pci modem

Problem with pci modem
pci install a modem in my machine and this is detected and properly installed well but when it comes to connecting tells me that there is no dial tone and displayed an alert from "telephone signal not detected please check modem" and can not connect is it possible that the modem does not work? and in device manager said that I hope it works properly thank your help.

What brand of modem is?

Perhaps the problem is online, you may not have the internet service.
